Grilled meat and vegetable skewers

You can use both poultry and pork as well as beef meat to prepare skewers with meat and vegetables. However, red meat is prepared a little longer, so it is worth to grill them on separate toothpicks, not together with vegetables. If you want to prepare nutritious skewers as quickly as possible, choose poultry meat.


  • Chicken breast
  • Red pepper
  • Yellow pepper
  • Red onion
  • Courgette


  • olive oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper
  • Parsley

A method of preparing:

Before you start cutting and stuffing ingredients on wooden sticks, you must first soak the toothpicks in water for about an hour. If you use steel skewers, there will be no need.

Cut the chicken breast into small pieces. Prepare a marinade with a few tablespoons of olive oil and lemon juice. Spice and add the chopped parsley. Dip the cut meat in it and leave it in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes.

Pepper, zucchini and onions also cut into regular pieces to grill everything evenly. Hop vegetables and meat alternately on special pins or sticks. Use a silicone brush to grease the vegetables with a little olive oil. Grill the skewers on the grill grid until the meat is ready, or about 15 minutes. Every now and again, turn the skewers so that they are well-sealed on each side.
