(i) Processing Times

If in stock your order will be posted within 48 hours, excluding weekends and Western Australian public holidays. Delivery times vary depending on your location, please refer to the table below for further details.

The following delivery standards apply to regular post orders from the time they leave AMouseWithAHouse and are based on Australia Post’s delivery guidelines but also our experience.

Occasionally delays may occur for which we have no control over. In these circumstances, AMouseWithAHouse will not be held liable for or provide compensation for the delay or any resulting inconvenience.  Please allow extra time for processing and delivery at peak and Christmas times.

Items not in stock can take between 4 days and 3 weeks to arrive at our warehouse before we ship them according to the above table. Please contact us for detailed information as the timelines depend on the wholesaler so that we can give a detailed estimate.

Christmas Processing Times November 1 to January 31 (“the Christmas Period”)

The above processing times relate to non-Christmas periods.  During the Christmas Period processing times can be extended due to back logs caused by Christmas demand. While in most cases AMouseWithAHouse will be able to adhere to normal processing times, delays from our suppliers and general demand make it difficult.  We ask for your patience and rest assure all orders placed before our Christmas cut off times will reach you prior to the big day.

If your order is for a birthday or you are going away, and you require your order as a matter of urgency, please email your order confirmation to customer service and we will attempt to prioritise it, but please only do this if it necessary.

Prior to Christmas is a stressful time for everyone and our Warehouse and Customer Service teams are working their hardest to make sure your presents arrive. Remember, we’re on your side.

(ii) Shipping Policy

So, what is AMouseWithAHouse’s Shipping Policy?

Australia is a vast country and our population is spread all over in isolated patches.  As such, shipping can be costly.  Shipping costs for parcels are not standard across weights and distances, they vary according to where you are and how much your parcel weighs.  AMouseWithAHouse has worked hard to find an economical solution for our customers to make sure the benefits of our shipping policies outweigh the costs of you physically searching for the products we have. We’ve tried to make it fair and equitable.  We’ve also tried to make it easy. This is what we’ve come up with.

 

How much will Shipping Cost me?

At Check Out your shipping costs will be calculated based on:

 

  1. how much you spend;
  2. your location;
  3. the weight of your parcels.

 

This section gives you a guide of how the shipping costs are determined.

To assist you in determining whether your order will be a Standard, Large or Oversized Parcel please see below:

 

  • Standard – A parcel weighing up to 5kgs (this is over 95% of our orders)
  • Large – A parcel weighing from 5kgs to 15kgs (this is a lot of toys)
  • Oversized – A parcel weighing over 15kgs (the really big stuff you’d need a truck to take home)

(iii) Delivery Guide

We use established courier companies and Australia Post to ensure the fastest possibly delivery to you.  Australia is a vast nation and shipping sometimes can be beyond our control. The below table is a guide as to when you can expect to have your goods delivered to you after a mouse with a house has processed your order. We will endeavour to contact you should there be any delay in the below delivery times.

Notes on Delivery Guide:

  • We do not ship to Post Office Boxes or Parcel Lockers.
  • Orders will require signature on delivery.
  • Delivery times are based on working days and are approximate only.
  • No liability is accepted for late delivery.
  • Delivery times may vary according to weather, road conditions and seasonal overload such as Christmas.
  • Orders are shipped with Fastway Couriers and StarTrack within Australia.
  • You will be given a Tracking Number to track your goods.
  • NT & WA orders may be subject to a freight surcharge, customers will be notified for approval before sending any goods, and orders may be cancelled if freight charge is deemed too high by either customer or management.

(iv) What if no one is there to receive the Goods I have ordered?

We have taken the effort to pack and ship your goods to you, so please make the effort to have someone there to sign for them.  The best way to ensure this is to have them delivered to a business address or follow the tracking and make sure you or someone else is available.  Parcel Point is also a great way to ensure this (see below). If, as we know sometimes it happens, there is no one there; the parcel will be delivered to the nearest courier depot or Post Office for your collection.

(v) Click & Collect with Parcel Point

 If you’re not sure whether someone will be present at your delivery point Parcel Point is the perfect solution for you.  Parcel Point fits in with you with a network of extended-hours collection points. With over 1,000 locations, open 7 days and late, you can now pick up your order at your local store – when it suits you. No more missed deliveries or waiting around for your order to arrive.

And the best news – this convenient service comes at no additional cost if picked up within 7 days (A$2.95 fee will be charged if you pick up after this period).

Here’s how it works:

a. SHOP: Add items to your shopping cart.

b. SEND: Select ParcelPoint at the checkout and choose your local store. There’s no extra charge and you can pick from over 1,000 locations including pharmacies, convenience stores and more, open 7 days and late.

c. COLLECT: You’ll receive an email or SMS when your order arrives. Collect it when you want.
